Copyright for photographic images remains with the photographer in line with the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. However, Barking Cat may “license” (i.e. give permission) for others to use images for certain purposes.
Where small small watermarked images are supplied to you, these are licensed for personal, non-commercial uses including email, social media (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, etc.), as a background on for mobile devides or computers, or to print out small copies (up to 4″ x 6″ is fine).
Please do not alter the images, crop or remove the watermark, particularly where they appear publicly (e.g. on the internet.) If you use images on platforms that automatically crop out the watermark (e.g. Instagram), if possible, please include a reference in the text, like “(c) Barking Cat Pet Photography” or (c) BarkingCatPetPhotography.com” (with a weblink if possible.)
If you would like to use the photos for other purposes, have any questions about using them or would like to order enlargements or other products from the images, please don’t hesitate in getting in touch.
